The 2023 March Madness field is set!

In total, 5 ACC teams cracked the Field of 68, including Virginia, Duke, Miami, NC State. Clemson was not able to crack the field after spending some time on the bubble, with some bad losses plaguing their resume.

Below are the situations for each ACC program in the field:

  • 4-seed Virginia vs. Furman, Thursday – South region
  • 5-seed Miami vs. Drake, Friday – Midwest region
  • 5-seed Duke vs. Oral Roberts, Thursday – East region
  • 11-seed NC State vs. Creighton, Friday – South region
  • 11-seed Pitt vs. Mississippi State (play-in) – Midwest region

Who can make a run?

Duke seems the best equipped to make a deep run out of the remaining groups. Oral Roberts will be tough out in Round 1, but Tennessee is a favorable 2nd round matchup should they get past the Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana.

Miami and Drake will make for a fun 1st round matchup, as will NC State-Creighton. Pitt should have enough to pass Mississippi State in the play-in, and could match up against the winner of Xavier and Kennesaw State after playing Iowa State first round.
