4 ACC teams named finalist for 4-star forward TJ Power

4-star forward TJ Power is becoming one of the highest-recruited prospects in the country for the class of 2023.

He’s having a great summer and has picked up offers from programs like North Carolina, Duke, UCLA, Kansas, Ohio State and Notre Dame in the last few weeks.

On Monday, he trimmed his list of finalists to 5. North Carolina and Duke both made the cut, as did fellow ACC rivals Virginia and Boston College. Iowa was the final team to make Power’s list.

Power is listed at 6-foot-8, 210 pounds. He’s currently ranked as the No. 63 overall player and the No. 12 power forward in this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. However, that ranking could rise significantly in the coming weeks.

He was one of North Carolina’s first offers once word started to get out that 5-star GG Jackson was re-considering his commitment to the Tar Heels. Jackson ultimately ended up flipping to South Carolina, leaving a vacancy for UNC at power forward in this class.

Power would also be an interesting fit in Durham. Duke has the No. 1 class in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings

. Power’s shooting ability would be a great fit alongside players like Mackenzie Mgbako, Sean Stewart and Caleb Foster.

Power has not announced a timeline for his final decision.
