ACC announced the Players of the Week for Week 8 on Monday.

The announcement included the best players at multiple positions on offense, defense, and special teams. Every week, a total of 9 players from around the ACC receive this honor.

Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman was named the Quarterback of the Week. In Saturday’s 43-15 win over Boston College, Hartman passed for 313 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He also had 1 rushing touchdown for the Demon Deacons.

Miami wide receiver Colbie Young received the Receiver of the Week honor with 6 receptions, 2 touchdowns, and 127 receiving yards. He was one of the few bright spots for Miami in Week 8. He had to adjust to playing with 2 quarterbacks after Tyler Van Dyke left with an injury.

Clemson offensive lineman Jordan McFadden and running back Will Shipley received Player of the Week honors for their respective positions. In the win over Syracuse, Shipley rushed for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. McFadden helped Clemson produce 293 rushing yards and 157 receiving yards.

For Duke’s 45-21 win over Miami, the Blue Devils had 3 players received Player of the Week honors. Kicker Todd Pelino claimed the Specialist Player of the Week award for 1 field goal and 6 extra points.

Defensive back Brandon Johnson received the Defensive Back Player of the Week award. Johnson returned 1 interception for a touchdown and registered 9 total tackles and 2 sacks. Chandler Rivers was the Rookie Player of the Week for Duke.
