The ACC Championship matchup is confirmed after both Miami and Clemson won their semifinal games on Saturday. The Tigers and Hurricanes will meet on Sunday for a shot at the ACC title.

Miami beat Wake Forest 7-2, while Clemson moved past North Carolina by a score of 10-4.

Miami’s offense kept their foot on the gas and Wake Forest could not keep up. Yohandy Morales showed out with a pair of home runs in the sixth and ninth innings to slam the door shut on the Demon Deacons.

A Blake Cyr single happened in the seventh inning before Morales’ second homer. Cyr brought home two runs. Cyr hit the ball between the shortstop and second baseman.

Morales sealed the deal with an absolute moonshot to right centerfield in the ninth to make it 7-2 Miami.

Miami used a multitude of pitchers to keep the Wake Forest batters at bay. Karson Ligon (2.1 IP) and Alejandro Rosario (4.2 IP) were on the mound for the majority of the game.

Clemson’s bats were hot early into the game. Billy Amick crushed a two-run homer over left field to give the Tigers a 4-0 lead in the first inning.

Caden Grice stayed in the game for seven innings with 9 strikeouts for Clemson. Tristan Smith and B.J. Bailey came in during the final two innings to send the Tigers to the final.
