ACC expansion meeting reportedly rescheduled
The ACC expansion meeting between league presidents originally scheduled for early this week has received a new date.
That meeting was originally planned for Monday night with the league mulling the possibility of adding Cal, Stanford and SMU. However, the meeting was postponed after the unfortunate on-campus shooting in North Carolina.
As of Thursday, that meeting has reportedly been rescheduled. According to ESPN’s Andrea Adelson, the meeting is back on the docket for Friday morning. Stewart Mandel and Nicole Auerbach with The Athletic shared that report while Mandel noted there is the possibility a vote is taken regarding the potential expansion programs.
I’ve been told the ACC presidents call is back on for tomorrow AM. Unclear if there are enough votes yet.

Earlier in the week, ACC commissioner Jim Phillips appeared to hint at adding the trio of programs, saying the ACC has “a few things we’re working” on while at an ACC HQ event. Entering the week, it was reported that the league is moving closer to adding the programs with the main hang-up at this point determining how to distribute new revenue within the league.
We’ll see if the ACC reaches a decision with Week 1 beginning around the country.
