The ACC could have 2 top-5 picks in the 2025 NBA Draft.

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony unveiled his top 5 for that draft this week. Duke signee Cooper Flagg headlines the group at No. 1 overall. Miami signee Jalil Bethea is also in the mix, coming in at No. 4 on the list. Rutgers’ Ace Bailey is the only other college player to be included in the top-5.

Flagg is a known commodity. Long considered one of the best high school prospects globally, Flagg has been projected as the No. 1 overall pick in this draft since he re-classified into the 2024 high school class back in August. He’s the No. 1 overall player in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Bethea is widely-regarded as a top prospect, but is not quite the household name that Flagg is at this stage. Bethea signed with the Hurricanes back in November and is expected to be a big-time contributor for them next season. He’s the No. 6 overall player nationally for this class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

The last time a non-Duke player from the ACC went in the top-5 of the NBA Draft was in 2021 when Scottie Barnes went No. 4 overall to the Toronto Raptors. The ACC has not had multiple top-5 picks in the same draft since 2019 when Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and De’Andre Hunter all went in that range.
