The ACC is home to some of the biggest and most popular football stadiums in the country.
From Clemson’s Memorial Stadium to Wake Forest’s Truist Field, each stadium has its own unique qualities. The list also includes 2 stadiums — Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium and Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium — that are also used by NFL teams.
The ACC’s oldest venue is Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium, which first opened in 1913. It’s the oldest football stadium in Division 1 and is the only ACC stadium that was built over a century ago.
As far as the newest venues, that honor goes to Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium. Formerly known as Heinz Field, that building first opened in 2001. Excluding NFL stadiums, the ACC’s newest venue is Louisville’s Cardinal Stadium (1998).
