ACC tabs Duke, Miami guards as ACC Co-Players of the Week

Duke Blue Devils guard Jeremy Roach and Miami Hurricanes star Nijel Pack were named the ACC Co-Players of the Week for leading their respective teams to a combined 4-0 record this past week. Roach led Duke to wins over North Carolina and Wake Forest while Pack’s Hurricanes downed Virginia Tech and Clemson.

And when you zoom in, it really is difficult to discern a winner between the 2. Roach combined for 50 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals against the Tar Heels and Demon Deacons. Pack, a Kansas State transfer and newfound star in Coral Gables, totaled a similar 37 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal. He was also very efficient this past week, making 12 of his 22 shot attempts and 7 of his 14 3-pointers.

Roach and Pack will match up against each other Monday night at 7 p.m. EST. And with Miami and Duke sitting at 9-4 and 8-4 in the ACC, respectively, this is an important game for the top prize in the conference.

Buckle up.
