AP Men's Basketball Poll, March 6: 3 ACC teams crack top 25 in latest rankings
The latest AP Men’s Basketball was released on Monday. The regular season for college basketball is now squarely behind us with Monday’s poll setting the top 25 heading into conference tournament action.
At the top of the poll, Houston remains the No. 1 team in the country but Alabama slid down after a loss to Texas A&M. UCLA jumped up into the No. 2 spot with Kansas, Alabama and Purdue rounding out the top 5.
Out of the ACC, Virginia and Miami were the first teams appearing on the poll at No. 13 and No. 14. Meanwhile, Duke jumped into the poll at No. 21 after rattling off 6 straight wins down the stretch heading into the ACC basketball tournament.
