DJ Horne, Arizona State transfer, sets pair of official ACC visits
DJ Horne announced that he would be entering the transfer portal at the end of this past season. The former Arizona State guard played 2 seasons in Tempe after a 2-year stint at Illinois State. Now, he’s heading elsewhere to play his final season of college basketball.
On Saturday, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported that Horne plans to visit 2 ACC programs in the coming weeks. He has an OV scheduled with Wake Forest on Sunday and will head to visit NC State next weekend.

Horne would provide a major boon to either of those programs, especially NC State with how much they will lose from this year to next. He does a little bit of everything right, hitting 3-pointers at a 36% clip with strong defense and emphasis on protecting the basketball. All you would expect from a veteran guard. Horne averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in 2022-23.
Something important to note: Horne originally hails from Raleigh, North Carolina: all the more reason to point Horne to NC State. Of course, no official decision has been made.
