Duke has opened as a 4.5-point favorite over arch rival North Carolina for their Final Four matchup next weekend.

The Blue Devils are also favored to win the National Championship amongst the remaining teams, according to odds from the Las Vegas Super Book.

Duke and North Carolina have never met before in the NCAA Tournament, despite several close calls. This will be the 189th meeting between Duke and North Carolina in the history of the Tobacco Road rivalry.

Duke and North Carolina both took impressive paths to get to this stage.

The Blue Devils had to go through Cal State Fullerton, Michigan State, Texas Tech and Arkansas to reach Mike Krzyzewski’s record-breaking 13th Final Four.

Meanwhile, the Tar Heels had to beat Marquette, Baylor, UCLA and Saint Peter’s to get to this point. North Carolina coach Hubert Davis is the first college coach to advance to the Final Four in his first season since UNC’s Bill Guthridge.

Kansas and Villanova will face off in the other semifinal. Duke and North Carolina will tipoff at the conclusion of Kansas-Villanova.
