Duke vs. Miami is the lone ACC game on the slate for Monday night.

It’s arguably the biggest matchup of the week for the ACC as both teams look to strengthen their NCAA Tournament résumés. It’s also a rematch — Duke defeated Miami in Durham 68-66 back in January.

Over at Underdog, there are ways to get in on the action by making fantasy picks for player over/under stats in this game.

My picks for Duke vs. Miami

My first pick is Kyle Filipowski over 9.5 rebounds. The Duke forward has made a big impact with his physicality this season, especially on the boards. He’s averaging 9.4 rebounds per game this season, but he’s gone over the total of 9.5 in 4 of his last 6 games. One of those overs was against Miami, where he corralled 14 rebounds against the Canes’ undersized front court. Miami’s top rebounder is 6-7 Norchad Omier. The Canes rank No. 258 nationally in defensive rebounding rate, per KenPom.

Speaking of Omier, I’m fading him a bit in this matchup. Duke’s Dereck Lively has been playing much better lately and just shut down Armando Bacot in the post over the weekend. Omier’s scoring line for this game is 13.5 points — a total he’s gone over just twice in his last 8 games. Omier doesn’t shoot 3-pointers and isn’t great from the foul line. If he’s going to score 14 against players like Lively, Filipowski and Mark Mitchell, he’s going to have to do it the hard way. I’ll take the “lower” option for Omier’s 13.5 points.

To round things out, let’s stick with the Canes and pick Nijel Pack over 13.5 points. Pack has hit this total in 5 of his last 6 games, including against the Blue Devils back on Jan. 21. Pack has upped his volume of shot attempts and 3-point tries recently — he’s now making 51.2% of 7.2 3-point attempts per game over his last 6 contests.

How many picks should you make?

The more picks you string together, the higher the “multiplier” or payout. Of course, the more you string together, the less likely you are to win because all of the picks have to hit in order for you to win.

A 3-way parlay of the picks I listed above would pay out $60 on a $10 bet:

If you’re feeling more bold, you could pick Jordan Miller over 23.5 points+rebounds+assists. Miller’s total was 28 in the Canes’ loss to Duke back in January. Adding a fourth pick would improve the potential payout to 10x.
