Florida State, Miami named finalists for 4-star running back from Texas
Florida State and Miami have been named finalists for 4-star running back Kiandrea Barker.
Barker announced his top 5 on Tuesday morning. In addition to the Noles and Canes, Barker is still considering Ole Miss, Mississsippi State and Penn State.

Barker is from The Woodlands, Texas, which is near the Houston area. Surprisingly, he doesn’t have any programs from the Lone Star State in his top 5.
Barker is a 2025 prospect, so there’s still a long way to go in his recruitment. However, both Florida State and Miami seem to be in a good place.
He’s currently ranked as the No. 68 overall player in the country, per 247Sports rankings. He’s also the No. 9 running back and the No. 11 player from the state of Texas.
Florida State currently has 1 commitment in the class of 2025. Miami is not yet on the board for that cycle.
