The ACC put 6 teams into the field of 64 for the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Two ACC programs earned top-8 seeds, meaning they will have a shot at hosting a super regional. A third team, Clemson, will host a regional this weekend.

Florida State won the league during the regular season and also triumphed in the ACC Tournament. FSU earned the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Noles will play in a regional that also features Marist, UCF and South Carolina.

Duke finished the year with a 45-9 record and earned second place in the ACC. The Blue Devils have become one of the top softball programs in the conference. They will be the No. 8 overall seed and will host a regional with George Mason, Campbell and Charlotte. If Duke wins its regional, it will host a super regional for the 1st time in program history.

Clemson also had an excellent season and finished 3rd in the ACC. Clemson has reached the NCAA Tournament in 3 consecutive seasons. The Tigers landed the final hosting position as the No. 16 team in the country. Their regional also includes UNC Greensboro, Cal State Fullerton and Auburn.

Virginia Tech will play in the Georgia regional alongside NC Central and Boston University. The Hokies finished the regular season with a record of 37-18 and finished 5th in the ACC. Virginia Tech has not reached the Women’s College World Series since 2008.

Louisville, who finished 4th in the ACC, is in the Tennessee regional and will face Indiana in the 1st round. Northern Kentucky is the other team in the regional and will face the Vols in the regional’s opening game.

Notre Dame entered the Selection Show on the NCAA Tournament bubble with an RPI of 45. The Fighting Irish ended up making it into Arkansas’ regional as one of the final teams to make the field of 64. They will face Oregon in the opening game of the regional.
