Joe Girard III, a former Syracuse guard, may stay in the ACC after all.
Less than 2 weeks ago, Girard announced hat he would enter the transfer portal and pursue the 2023 NBA Draft process. He has 1 year of eligibility remaining. According to the guard
, he wished to “keep his options open and gather as much information as possible.”
Jon Rothstein, a college basketball insider, reported that Girard told him that he would have in-home visits with Clemson, Notre Dame and BYU.
Girard was the Orange’s leading scorer this past season averaging 16.4 points per game. The shooting guard was also known for his 3-pointer prowess as he averaged 38% accuracy in his senior season. His 297 3-pointers over his career with the Orange is 3rd all-time in Syracuse history.
