Lee Corso health update: ESPN updates health status of College GameDay legend

Lee Corso will not travel to Jackson State for this weekend’s episode of College GameDay.

ESPN made that announcement on Friday afternoon.

“Lee Corso will not travel to Jackson State for College GameDay this week due to a health issue,” the statement reads. “Coach Corso is in good spirits, and he hopes to be back on the road with the crew soon.”

This will be the third show Corso has missed this season due to health problems. He missed shows at Clemson and Kansas in early October before returning to the G

ameDay set in Knoxville on Oct. 15. He also participated in last week’s show in Eugene.

Corso has been a College GameDay mainstay for over three decades. He has been with ESPN since 1987.

His status for the remainder of the College GameDay slate appears to be unknown. GameDay will be on site at Jackson State this weekend as Deion Sanders’ squad hosts Southern.
