Lee Corso update: Rece Davis gives health update after Corso’s absence on College GameDay

If you watched College Gameday in Week 5, you assuredly noticed the absence of legendary analyst Lee Corso.

Before the start of College Gameday, it was announced that Corso would miss the broadcast as he was “under the weather”. Naturally, fans were concerned for Corso, as he recently turned 87 years of age.

College GameDay host Rece Davis appeared on The Paul Finebaum Show and provided an update on Corso.

“He’s doing much better. I talked to him on Sunday. He’s back home in Orlando and feeling much, much better,” Davis said, via On3

. “He just woke up Saturday morning and had a little dizziness and so forth. They checked him out and he was feeling better by Saturday afternoon. (He) was really ready to go home quicker than they let him but the great doctors at Clemson took care of h

im, looked after him. Now he’s back home in Orlando.”

According to Davis, it sounds like Corso is healthy and ready to rejoin the GameDay crew this weekend in Lawrence, Kansas.

“While I was talking to our producer yesterday, LC was calling him and wanting to know what topics were in the show that he needed to prepare for,” Davis added. “So he’s feeling much better.”

This week’s College GameDay will be the first time that the crew has traveled to Lawrence for football. It seems like the legendary Corso will be right there with them.
