Pitt is favored by 3.5 points over Wake Forest in Saturday’s ACC Championship, according to DraftKings. The total has been set at 71 points.

The Panthers are 9-3 against the spread this season. Meanwhile, the Demon Deacons are 6-6 against the number.

These teams boast the ACC’s two best scoring offenses on the season. Both Wake Forest and Pitt average over 42 points a game, which is better than every Power 5 team except for Ohio State (45.5 points).

For Pitt, the Panthers are led by quarterback Kenny Pickett. He’s had the best season of his career and may end up being the first quarterback off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft. He’s also putting together a strong résumé for the Heisman Trophy.

Wake Forest also has an excellent quarterback in Sam Hartman. Perhaps the biggest surprise in the ACC this season, Hatman has thrown for 3,711 yards and 34 touchdowns already this year. He’s capable of out-playing Pickett on this stage if he plays his best game.

Neither defense has been particularly impressive this season, but Pitt’s seems to be more equipped to get a key stop or two in the second half. The Panthers’ yards-per-play defense ranks 5th in the ACC while the Demon Deacons are 11th.

Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. ET.
