Scott Van Pelt makes pick against the spread for Notre Dame-Clemson matchup
Scott Van Pelt has made his betting predictions for a handful of key games ahead of a full slate of college football on Saturday.
One of the games he predicted was the Notre Dame vs. Clemson matchup.
The Fighting Irish are coming off back-to-back wins after having their season derailed by Louisville, and they’re looking to keep things rolling this week.
The Tigers are coming off back-t0-back losses and are looking to right the ship with a signature win. Clemson’s season has arguably already been a disappointment, but a big win on Saturday could be what it needs to get back on track.
Clemson will have the benefit of homefield advantage this weekend and Van Pelt is counting on Clemson to cover the +3 spread. Of course, the longtime SportsCenter host had to take a jab at Dabo Sweeney after his viral rant earlier this week.
“Hey coach, this isn’t Tyler from Spartanburg. This is Scott from DC,” Van Pelt said. “I still believe in the home team, and I’m backing Clemson at home against Notre Dame plus a small number.”
