Boston College did the wildly unexpected Tuesday night, not just competing with but beating No. 20 Clemson in Chestnut Hill, 62-54. It’s the Eagles’ 3rd ACC win of the year and hands the Tigers, who were alone atop the ACC and had won 10 of its last 11, their 2nd conference loss of the season.

As far as unexpected results go, that probably tops the list for Tuesday night’s action.

Makai Ashton-Langford was a star for the Eagles Tuesday night. He led Boston College with 15 points, adding a rebound and a pair of assists. What’s most incredible from Ashton-Langford’s outing what his defense. The senior totaled 6 steals on the day, more than half of Boston College’s total steal production all evening.

Clemson really struggled to hold onto the ball and the Eagles made them pay. The Tigers turned the ball over 17 times opposed to Boston College’s 11 turnovers.

Boston College is now 11-12 on the season and 5-7 in the ACC.
