Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec will be transferring to Pittsburgh for the 2023 season, he told ESPN on Monday.
For his next college football stop, Jurkovec will remain in the ACC. Jurkovec notified Pitt’s coaching staff that he will be making the move from Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts to Pittsburgh. This move will reunite Jurkovec with Frank Cignetti Jr., who was Boston College’s offensive coordinator in 2020 and 2021. It will be his 3rd college football destination.
On Monday, former Pitt quarterback Kedon Slovis entered the transfer portal after 1 season with the Panthers. Pittsburgh wasted almost no time to bringing in Jurkovec to replace Slovis.
His departure from Boston College came after he spent the last 3 seasons playing for the Eagles. Jurkovec missed the entire month of November with a knee injury.

He finished his tenure at Boston College with 5,183 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions. Before he played for Boston College, he transferred from Notre Dame after the 2019 season. Jurkovec played 2 seasons for the Fighting Irish in 2018 and 2019.
With one year of eligibility remaining, Jurkovec will hope to have a strong season at Pittsburgh.
