Boston College QB Phil Jurkovec named ACC QB of the week

Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec picked up ACC quarterback of the week honors for his performance in Week 11.

He led BC to a big win over Georgia Tech on Saturday. It was just his second start since returning from an early-season injury that has kept him out for most of the 2021 campaign.

Here’s the announcement, along with the other ACC players of the week:

Jurkovec completed 13-of-20 passes for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns vs. the Yellow Jackets. He also rushed for 71 yards and 3 more touchdowns in Boston College’s 41-30 win over Georgia Tech.

Boston College is now bowl eligible in Year 2 under Jeff Hafley. With Jurkovec back under center, the Eagles could be upset-minded over the final two weeks as they take on Florida State and Wake Forest. The Week 13 matchup with the Demon Deacons could have the ACC Atlantic title on the line for Wake Forest.

Kickoff vs. the Seminoles this week is at 12 p.m. ET.
