Boston College safety Jaiden Woodbey announced plans to return to school for another season earlier this week.
Woodbey, who has already played four seasons of college football, said he’s returning with a very clear goal in mind.
“I just feel like another year in this system, it’ll prove I’m the best safety in the ACC,” Woodbey told reporters this week.
In addition to his experience on the field, Woodbey will be leaving college with multiple degrees and licenses.
Woodbey transferred from Florida State prior to the 2021 season.
A former 4
-star recruit, Woodbey immediately became one of the most productive safeties in the ACC upon joining the Eagles secondary.
This season, Woodbey made 32 tackles, 1 interception and deflected three passes. He also recovered 2 fumbles and scored 1 touchdown.
His decision to return could help lift Boston College’s defense to new heights in 2022.
