Boston College has a nearly-full recruiting class already for this cycle, and the results are good so far.

This is Jeff Hafley’s second full class since taking the BC job. The Eagles’ 2021 class finished just inside the top 40, and it appears this year’s group will be even better.

Hafley’s staff has earned commitments from 22 players already, including a pair of blue-chippers. The Eagles have relied heavily on talent in the northeast, earning 11 total commitments from players in Maryland (4), Massachusetts (4), Connecticut (2) and New Jersey (1).

Here’s a breakdown of Boston College’s recruiting class as it stands right now:

Class ranking: No. 5 in ACC, No. 24 nationally

Total commits: 22

Blue-chip commits (4-and-5-star prospects): 2

Highest-rated offensive player: 4-star WR Joseph Griffin Jr. | No. 334 overall | No. 48 WR | Springfield, Mass.

Highest-rated defensive player: 4-star S Sione Hala | No. 333 overall | No. 23 S | Bellflower, Calif.

Final thoughts: Hafley is clearly in the process of building something at Boston College. The Eagles won their first four games of the season this year and should have a chance to get to bowl eligibility. If Boston College continues to recruit at a near-top 25 level, it might prove to have a higher ceiling than previously thought.
