Report: Boston College to be without 10 players due to flu vs. Wake Forest

Boston College will be missing at least 10 players due to a flu outbreak within the team, per a report.

That’s according to Yahoo!’s Pete Thamel, who also notes that as many as 32 players have been impacted this week. He also said receiver Jaelen Gill will be a game-time decision.

Boston College can play spoiler this week against Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons need a win in order to clinch the ACC Atlantic title and get a berth in next weekend’s ACC Championship Game.

If Boston College is able to pull off the upset, then it will be NC S

tate who faces ACC Coastal champion Pittsburgh in Charlotte next week.

Boston College is already bowl eligible and has looked like a much more competitive team since Phil Jurkovec returned to action against Virginia Tech in October. The Eagles have won two of their last three games, and their loss was a 3-point defeat to Florida State last weekend.

Kickoff vs. Wake Forest is at 12 p.m. ET.
