Burley is an elite 4-star prospect who could find himself as a 5-star before the end of this cycle. He’s currently ranked No. 40 overall nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 4 defensive lineman in this class.
He’s received offers from most of the elite programs across the country. He recently visited Tennessee and Michigan State and was receiving interest from Ohio State.
Burley is Clemson’s 8th commitment since the beginning of June. The Tigers entered this month with only 4 commitments and now have the No. 6 class in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
The boost in commitments has come following a mega recruiting weekend that Clemson hosted in early June. At least 30 high-profile prospects were in attendance.
Clemson’s recruiting class could continue to heat up over the summer. Other top targets are getting close to their decision dates, including 5-star defensive lineman Peter Woods.
Burley and other 2023 commitments will be able to officially sign with Clemson during the Early Signing Period in December.
