Cincinnati Bengals GM Duke Tobin met with media Tuesday to, among other things, shit down trade rumors concerning former Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins.

Higgins’ value is through the roof right now. The soon-to-be 4th year WR has size and great hands, and would be a WR1 in an offense without Ja’Marr Chase. He’s also an excellent weapon for Joe Burrow in a young group that has a bright future.

Tobin was short, sweet and to the point Tuesday, saying “trading Tee Higgins is not on my mind. That’s their problem. They want a receiver, go find your own.”

Higgins’ impact on Cincinnati

Drafting Tee Higgins before drafting Ja’Marr Chase with a generational talent like Joe Burrow at quarterback is almost unfair.

The Bengals have a strong defense and that 3-headed dragon on offense to build around. Last season was his best yet in a Bengals uniform and he very likely has his best years in front of him. This announcement by Tobin, though not expecting the mic drop, shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Expect Cincinnati back to the Super Bowl very, very soon.
