Clemson just added another blue-chip recruit to its 2023 recruiting class.

The Tigers picked up a commitment from 4-star defensive lineman AJ Hoffler on Tuesday night. Hoffler marks the 10th 2023 prospect to commit to the Tigers in June.

Here’s his announcement:

Hoffler is an excellent defensive line prospect. He’s the No. 288 overall player and the No. 39 defensive lineman in this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings

He’s also Clemson’s 6th commitment in this class from the state of Georgia. The Tigers haven’t had more than 6 Georgia natives in a single recruiting class since 2019. They had just 1 in last year’s 2022 cycle.

Hoffler chose the Tigers over offers from programs like Ohio State, Auburn, Florida, North Carolina and numerous other top teams.

Clemson is up to 13 commitments for the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 4 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. This is Clemson’s first appearance in the top-5 this cycle.

Hoffler and other 2023 prospects will be able to officially sign with a program during the Early Signing Period in December.
