Bresee announced that decision on Monday morning, just a few days after his final game with the Tigers.

Bresee is projected to be a first round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He has maintained his draft stock despite a tough year where he missed games due to a medical issue and the passing of his younger sister, Ella Bresee.
Bresee also missed most of the 2021 campaign due to a torn ACL. Still, he leaves Clemson with 51 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss and nine sacks across 25 games with the Tigers.
Replacing Bresee on Clemson’s defensive line will be very difficult in 2023. The Tigers will also need to replace Myles Murphy, who is also projected to be a first round pick in the upcoming draft. Tyler Davis and Ruke Orhorhoro have not yet announced their plans.
Clemson went 11-3 during the 2022 season.
