Clemson DL Bryan Bresee shares timeline for making decision on 2023 season
Clemson defensive lineman Bryan Bresee has not yet made a decision about his plans for 2023.
Bresee is eligible to enter the 2023 NFL Draft and is projected to be a first round pick if he does so. However, Bresee could also opt to return to Clemson for his fourth season of college football.
At Orange Bowl media day on Wednesday morning, Bresee told reporters that he has not yet made a decision. He said he will make his decision after the Orange Bowl.
One more note on Clemson DT Bryan Bresee … Dabo Swinney teased last week that a few vets had already told him they're returning for 2023, but Bresee says he's *not* one of them. "Not me yet. He doesn't know about me. I told him I'd worry about (deciding) after the game."

Bresee also said he never considered opting out of the Orange Bowl.
“One of our main goals is to win the closer and I wanted to be a part of that with this team,” Bresee said. “It’s a great opportunity to play again with these guys.”
Clemson DT Bryan Bresee (still TBD on entering the NFL Draft) says he "never thought" about opting out of the Orange Bowl: "One of our main goals is to win the closer and I wanted to be a part of that with this team … It's a great opportunity to play again with these guys."

Only one Clemson player (Myles Murphy) opted out of the bowl game in order to prepare for the NFL Draft. Linebacker Trenton Simpson will miss the game due to an ankle injury and is also going pro.
If Bresee does decide to return to Clemson, it would be a big boost for the Tigers’ defense. He’s one of the best defensive linemen in the country and the Tigers are losing several other impactful players on defense this offseason.
Clemson and Bresee will be in action on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
