Despite a 41-10 blowout win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Monday night, the Tigers dropped in this week’s AP Top 25.

Clemson dropped from No. 4 to No. 5 in Tuesday’s update. Michigan, who beat Colorado State 41-7 on Saturday, jumped into the No. 4 spot.

Ohio State also dropped one spot despite picking up a top-5 win over Notre Dame on Saturday night. The Buckeyes moved to No. 3 while Oregon jumped up to No. 2.

Clemson’s defense was excellent against the Yellow Jackets, holding the opposition to fewer than 4 yards per play. However, Clemson’s offense showed some of the same weaknesses it had a year ago.

Clemson remains the highest-ranked team in the ACC. The league has 5 ranked teams, with Florida State knocking on the door. The Noles received votes this week after upsetting LSU in New Orleans on Sunday.
