Clemson guard Chauncey Gibson has opted to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Verbal Commits was 1st to share the news that Gibson has chosen to enter the portal. Gibson just finished his true freshman season with the Tigers.

Gibson redshirted this past season and did not appear in a game for the Tigers.

He was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2022. He ranked as the No. 219 overall player and the No. 30 shooting guard in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Gibson is from Dallas, Texas. He attended Kimball High School before enrolling at Clemson. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 188 pounds.

Clemson narrowly missed out on making the NCAA Tournament this season. The Tigers went 23-11 overall and 14-6 in ACC play, but weren’t quite able to make the field of 68. Clemson was eliminated in the 1st round of the NIT by Morehead State on Wednesday.

Gibson will have 4 years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
