Clemson hands out offer to under-the-radar RB in class of 2023
Clemson made an intriguing new offer in the class of 2023 on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers offered a scholarship to running back Jamarius Haynes.

This is one of Haynes’ first FBS offers as he’s been under the radar throughout his recruitment. Haynes does not currently have a recruiting profile at any of the major recruiting services.
For Clemson, this type of late offer is coming from a coaching staff that is confident in its evaluation. The Tigers have a top-10 class nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings, but do not currently have a running back in this class.
Haynes lists himself at 6-foot, 180 pounds. He attends Handley High School in Roanoke, Alabama.
Here’s a look at one of Haynes’ touchdown runs from earlier this season:

Clemson is still young at the running back position, so it can afford to take a chance on a late-bloomer prospect like Haynes. Will Shipley and Phil Mafah are sophomores while Kobe Pace is just a junior. The Tigers also signed Keith Adams Jr. in the 2022 recruiting cycle.
Here are some highlights from Haynes’ junior season:
