Clemson’s 2020 recruiting class was one for the ages.

That group finished No. 3 nationally and included star players like Bryan Bresee, Myles Murphy, Trenton Simpson and DJ Uiagalelei, amongst others.

On Wednesday, ESPN re-ranked the top 25 prospects from that class and 2 Clemson players made the cut. Bresee landed at No. 8 while Murphy came in at No. 11. Their original ESPN rankings in this class were No. 3 and No. 13, respectively.

Both players have more than lived up to expectations. Bresee did miss most of the 2021 season with a torn ACL, but he has accounted for 11.5 tackles for loss and 6 sacks across 19 games for the Tigers.

Murphy has been one of the country’s most productive pass rushers from Day 1 at Clemson. He’s already recorded 33.5 tackles for loss and 17 sacks in less than 3 full seasons in college.

Both Bresee and Murphy are potential first round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Overall, Clemson’s 2020 recruiting class ranks No. 4 nationally following ESPN’s re-rank. The Tigers are behind Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State. Michigan rounds out the top 5.

Clemson hosts Syracuse on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
