Clemson added to its 2022 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers picked up a commitment from 3-star linebacker Kobe McCloud just days after he visited campus. Here’s his announcement:

McCloud is the No. 119 linebacker in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He attends Gaither High School in Tampa, Fla.

He is younger the brother of Ray-Ray McCloud, who played for the Tigers from 2015-17.

McCloud is listed at 6-foot-1, 208 pounds. He was committed to Florida International until Jan. 12.

This is Clemson’s fourth commitment of the month and its second this week. The Tigers also added 3-star safety Kylon Griffin to their 2022 class this week.

Clemson is now up to 16 commitments in this class and may add more players before National Signing Day on Feb. 2. The Tigers have done a good job recovering from the losses of defensive coordinator Brent Venables and offensive coordinator Tony Elliott.

The class now ranks No. 11 in the country and No. 2 in the ACC, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
