Clemson is projected to be the class of the ACC in 2022, according to the latest FPI rankings from ESPN.

The Tigers come in at No. 4 on the latest update, which was released on Thursday morning. Pitt is the only other ACC program to be ranked in the top 10. In total, 8 ACC teams are in the top-40:

Clemson ranks behind only Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia. Notre Dame rounds out the top 5.

FPI is projecting Clemson to win 11.1 games next season. It gives the Tigers a 15% chance of going undefeated in the regular season and a 59% chance to make the College Football Playoff.

Clemson returns a lot of key production on both sides of the ball. The Tigers get back key defensive players like Xavier Thomas and K.J. Henry. They also return starting quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei and plenty of experience on the offensive line. Their running back trio of Will Shipley, Kobe Pace and Phil Mafah should be one of the best backfields in the ACC next season.

Clemson opens the 2022 campaign with Georgia Tech on Sept. 5.
