Clemson linebacker reportedly enters transfer portal

Clemson linebacker Sergio Allen has reportedly entered the transfer portal.

Allen recorded a pair of tackles in Clemson’s win over Furman on Saturday. On3’s Matt Zenitz was first to report the news.

Allen is a former 4-star recruit who just started his third season on campus. He was the No. 12 inside linebacker in the country for the class of 2020, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He was not listed on Clemson’s depth chart this season. He leaves Clemson with 11 total tackles in his career.

Allen is originally from Fort Valley, Georgia. He chose C

lemson over programs like Georgia, Auburn, Florida and Alabama.

Allen has not yet confirmed his status. If he does transfer, he will have 3 years of eligibility remaining.

Clemson hosts Louisiana Tech in Week 3.
