ESPN college football analyst Dan Mullen named Clemson as one of his top performers for Week 8.

Clemson remained undefeated with a 27-21 win over Syracuse on Saturday. It was a come-from-behind victory for Clemson that required a 17-point 4th quarter to secure the win. After trailing 21-10 at halftime, Clemson shutout Syracuse in the 2nd half.

Mullen was impressed with what he saw from the Tigers. He included Clemson on this list of top performing teams with LSU, Oklahoma State, Oregon, and TCU.

Clemson is in the hunt for a College Football Playoff selection. The Tigers will likely need to remain undefeated throughout the regular season to qualify for the Playoff. Clemson had several close calls against opponents this season and they have been able to win difficult games.

One important part of Clemson’s Playoff run will be the quarterback play. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney benched quarterback DJ Uiagalelei in the 2nd half against Syracuse. Uiagalelei was replaced by freshman quarterback Cade Klubnik, but Uiagalelei is expected to retain the starting job moving forward.

Clemson will look to stay in the Playoff picture against Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov. 5.
