Clemson added one of the biggest members of its 2022 signing class on Wednesday morning.

The Tigers have picked up a commitment from 4-star defensive lineman Caden Story. The Alabama native made that announcement on CBS Sports HQ:

Story is the No. 204 player and the No. 27 defensive lineman in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

He adds a lot of quality to a class that’s short on quantity by Clemson’s usual standards. The Tigers lost several 2022 commitments following the departure of defensive coordinator Brent Venables to Oklahoma.

Story has already signed his letter of intent to join Clemson:

Clemson now has 19 commitments in its 2022 recruiting class. The Tigers rank No. 11 nationally and No. 2 in the ACC, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. That’s a nice recovery considering the unusual amount of turnover on the coaching staff this offseason.

Running back Keith Adams Jr. also committed to Clemson on Wednesday morning. He does not have 247Sports Composite rating.

Clemson still has other targets who could end up being part of this class. This signing period runs through April 1.
