Clemson is well-represented in Athlon Sports’ preseason All-ACC teams, which were released on Monday.

The Tigers have 5 players who earned first-team honors, which is second behind only Florida State (7). The Tigers to make first-team were running back Will Shipley, defensive lineman Tyler Davis, linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr., linebacker Barrett Carter and safety Andrew Mukuba.

Shipley is widely-regarded as one of the top running backs in the country. He gained 1,424 yards from scrimmage last season and is a threat both in the rushing and passing games.

Davis is one of the more experienced interior lineman in the conference. He, along with Ruke Orhorhoro, will anchor a defensive line that lost multiple key contributors this offseason.

Trotter and Carter combine to form one of the best linebacker units in the country. Similarly, Mukuba is widely considered to be an elite safety nationally and figures to be a big part of Clemson’s defense in 2023.

In total, Athlon named 4 preseason All-ACC teams. Clemson had multiple players on each team. Here’s the list:
