Clemson QB target Christopher Vizzina moves up in latest recruiting rankings
Clemson quarterback target Christopher Vizzina was one of the big winners in Rivals’ latest recruiting update.
Vizzina moved up 29 spots and is now the No. 54 overall player in the class of 2023, per Rivals. He’s now the No. 7 overall quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He’s not quite into 5-star range, but that will start to become a possibility if he continues on this trajectory.
Vizzina has become Clemson’s top quarterback target in the class of 2023. However, it’s far from a foregone conclusion that he’ll end up playing for the Tigers.
The Alabama native has received offers from programs like Miami, LSU and Ole Miss in recent weeks. He’s also made multiple visits to Tennessee and is reportedly expected to visit Florida later this spring.
Vizzina did visit Clemson back in January for the Tigers’ junior day.
Regardless, he’s a high priority for Clemson and new offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter. It’s still early in the cycle, but the Tigers are off to a slow start in the 2023 recruiting class. They have just one commitment — 4-star receiver Nathaniel Joseph — so far in 2023.
There is no timetable for Vizzina’s commitment.
