Clemson added a familiar name back to its 2023 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon.

4-star offensive lineman Zechariah Owens re-committed to the Tigers on Tuesday. Owens also indicated that he will be an early enrollee this winter.

“After a longtime of pray, thinking and reconsidering, my family and I have decided that I will stay and continue to be committed to Clemson University,” Owens’ statement reads. “I want to thank the Clemson coaching staff and my fellow teammates. for sticking beside me through this and also I want to thank everyone for reaching out to my family and I through this process.

“But with that being said, I’m 1000% ALLIN!”

His decision comes after he was reportedly “miserable” in Tallahassee this weekend while he was on a visit for the FSU-Clemson game.

With Owens back in Clemson’s 2023 recruiting class, the Tigers are back up to 20 commitments overall in this cycle. Owens is the No. 191 overall player and the No. 18 offensive tackle in this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Early Signing Period for this class is in December.
