Clemson will host at least 30 official visitors this weekend, according to a report.

5-star defensive lineman Peter Woods and 4-star quarterback commit Christopher Vizzina headline the list of incoming visitors, via 247Sports.

Here’s an excerpt of an analysis from 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong:

“We have 30 official visitors listed for thus far for the Tigers this weekend, a group headlined by five-star defensive lineman Peter Woods who has Clemson high on his list alongside Alabama, Florida and Oklahoma. Swinney and his staff have just four commits in 2023, but it’s easy to figure much of their class will come together following this weekend.”

Clemson had to start from scratch in the class of 2023 after losing defensive coordinator Brent Venables (Oklahoma) and offensive coordinator Tony Elliott (Virginia) to head coaching jobs this offseason.

So far, the Tigers have 4 commits in this class — led by Vizzina and 4-star WR Nathaniel Joseph. The class currently ranks No. 36 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Of the 30 prospects expected to visit Clemson this weekend, 6 are ranked in the top-100 of 247Sports Composite rankings for the class of 2023. The service ranks 23 of the 30 visitors as 4-star prospects.
