Clemson will host 2024 linebacker prospect Aaron Chiles later this week on an unofficial visit, according to a report.

That’s per Clemson Insider’s Sam Neumann, who reports that Chiles will be on campus this Friday. Chiles also indicated that defensive backs coach Mike Reed is his primary recruiter.

Because he’s a 2024 prospect, Chiles is not currently rated by any of the major recruiting services. However, he’s already received offers from programs like Texas A&M and USC, per his 247Sports page.

Chiles is listed at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. He’s from Olney, Maryland, and will play his junior season later this fall.

It’s extremely early for the 2024 cycle, but Clemson does not currently have a commitment in the class of 2024. However, it seems the Tigers are trying to get a head start on that class after re-making their coaching staff this offseason.

Despite the coaching turnover — notably Brent Venables, Tony Elliott and Todd Bates — Clemson was still able to salvage its 2022 recruiting class. The Tigers’ 2022 group finished No. 1 in the ACC and No. 10 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

There is no timetable for Chiles’ commitment.
