This is a remarkable accomplishment for a program that has only existed for 2 full seasons. This is the Tigers’ first trip to the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament.

Despite the program’s lack of history, it received plenty of fan support this weekend:

Clemson’s wins this weekend included a pair of mercy-rule w

Clemson’s Marissa Guimbarda drove in the only run of the game in the 4th inning. Valerie Cagle was dominant in the circle, scattering just 4 hits across 7 shutout innings.

The 10th-seeded Tigers will now travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma to face No. 7 Oklahoma State in a best-of-three series. The winner will advance to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
