Clemson star RB Will Shipley returns to spring practice
Clemson running back Will Shipley returned to spring practice on Monday after battling an injury earlier this offseason.
Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney previously said that Shipley would miss all of spring practice. However, it seems Shipley was able to make a quick recovery — as of Monday, he’s now practicing in a non-contact jersey.
Shipley confirmed his return in a Tweet.
WASSUP @ClemsonFB ‼️ Great to be back🦾🦾 https://t.co/2uM88h4LNW

Shipley is expected to be one of Clemson’s primary offensive options this season. As a freshman in 2021, he rushed for 739 yards and 11 touchdowns on just 139 carries.
His return is vital for Clemson’s running back room. The Tigers are also without Kobe Pace this spring, who is injured. On the bright side, Clemson’s running back woes have opened the door for sophomore Phil Mafah to receive more reps and impress the coaching staff.
When healthy, the trio of Shipley, Pace and Mafah should form one of the most dynamic backfields in the ACC.
Clemson’s spring game is on April 9.
