Clemson target and 3-star athlete Khalil Barnes has set his commitment date.

Barnes will announce his decision on Friday, Dec. 16 in a ceremony at his high school. He will choose between Clemson, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

Here are the details:

Barnes is a major target for Clemson in the class of 2023. The Tigers didn’t offer him a scholarship until his senior season was already underway, but he has made significant strides as a prospect in 2022.

The former Wake Forest commit picked up offers from all three of his finalists during his senior season. He attends North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia.

He’s the No. 76 athlete in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. However, Clemson appears to be recruiting him on the defensive side of the ball. His lead recruiters for the Tigers are co-defensive coordinators Wes Goodwin and Mickey Conn.

Listed at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Barnes is a versatile athlete who could play multiple positions for the Tigers.

Clemson currently has 23 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 9 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
