Clemson to be shorthanded at WR for Wake Forest game

Clemson has battled injuries all year long at the receiver position, and that issue appears to be getting worse.

In addition to Justyn Ross being ruled out, receiver E.J. Williams will also miss the Wake Forest contest on Saturday. The Tigers made that announcement on Saturday morning.

The injuries to Ross and Williams leave Clemson without much depth at receiver. In total, the Tigers will be missing five scholarship receivers for this game: Ross, Williams, Frank Ladson Jr. and Joseph Ngata.

Clemson’s lack of receiving options could prove to be a major issue in this game i

f its defense doesn’t step up. Wake Forest has one of the most powerful offenses in the country, so the Tigers will be relying on their defense to keep them in check.

The Tigers must win today in order to stay alive in the race for the ACC Championship Game. Wake Forest clinches a berth in Charlotte with a victory.

Kickoff is at 12:00 p.m. ET.
