Former Clemson receiver Justyn Ross went undrafted in the NFL Draft over the weekend, but he’s getting his chance as a free agent.
According to multiple reports, Ross is signing an undrafted free agent deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Ross confirmed the news on his Instagram story:
Ross was once thought of as a sure-thing 1st round pick, but injuries significantly impacted his draft stock
. He didn’t play at all in 2020 and caught passes in just 10 games in 2021. Still, he finished his Clemson career with 2,379 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Kansas City is a great landing spot for Ross — not only will he get a chance to land in an offense with Patrick Mahomes, but the Chiefs are looking for more talent at receiver.
KC did draft Western Michigan receiver Skyy Moore on Friday, but he was the only WR picked by the franchise this weekend. If Ross has a good preseason, he should have a chance to stick around.
