College football fans do not want to see Clemson make the College Football Playoff

Clemson is 8-0 following its 27-21 victory over Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers likely won’t face a ranked opponent against until a potential ACC Championship Game matchup in early December.

That means there’s a clear path between Clemson and a potential appearance in the College Football Playoff. The Tigers are hoping to get back to that stage for the first time since the 2020 season.

However, some college football fans and media are not looking forward to a potential playoff appearance for the Tigers. Despite having an 8-0 record and 3 ranked wins, there are still still plenty of doubters about Clemson’s hopes moving forward.

Shortly after Clemson’s victory over the Orange, reaction poured in from CFB fans about the Tigers’ Playoff aspirations:

Clemson has a bye week in Week 9 but will face another quality opponent in Notre Dame in Week 10. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET from Notre Dame Stadium.
